It opens like a glass of cognac poured over toasted oak. Boozy, sharp for a moment, then warm. Cinnamon adds a dry spice that keeps the sweetness from turning into dessert too fast. But it does get sweet: praline, vanilla and candied almond build a thick, sugary base after the first half hour. If you dislike gourmand scents, this will be too much. Sandalwood and tonka smooth the edges near the end. Projection is strong for the first hours, and it stays on skin all day. Wear it in cold weather, at night, when you want people to notice.
