It opens bright and sharp. Citron and Calabrian bergamot hit first, clean and a little bitter, with sweet Sicilian orange right behind. Ginger keeps the citrus from turning soapy, and the cinnamon stays dry rather than sweet. Then black tea takes over. That tea note is smoky and slightly dusty, propped up by ambroxan and guaiac wood. Projection is strong for the first hour, then it settles close to the skin. Around six hours on most people. The citrus opening is fairly common ground, so the tea base does the real work here. Good office scent, and it works in heat when heavier ambers feel like too much.
